Jerseys are nice but as total uniforms, fugly. Too heavy on the white. Needs blue pants to break it up a bit.

Not sure why its always this big name could be moved Toronto wants them. No we actually dont.

Karlsson is NOT a guy we should go anywhere near. His never get off mentality, compromised skating, and his god awful turnovers are not what we need. Damn we complain about Gards turnovers as is.

I still can't believe we retained zero salary in the Phaneuf deal. Lou is such a genius.

Odd that Leafs were approved by commissioner to extend Soshnikov’s conditioning stint. Normally doesn’t happen/it’s not supposed to be a tool for avoiding waivers. It’s expected player is still ailing if extension happens. Soshnikov has been outstanding, told me he feels good.

It boggles the mind...why would Ottawa solve a big cap problem for their nearest rival, doing them a huge favour in their rebuild? Even though Phaneuf was pretty good for them the first year in a more suitable role, still it's not worth it to solve a big problem for Toronto. Phaneuf would have had to have been All-Star caliber to off-set that...and Phaneuf ain't All-Star caliber, just his contract is.

I just saw a picture listing this trade while looking for my godfather Lou picture.

Did you remember we even got a 2nd round pick in the Phaneuf trade?

So not only did they take that massive contract off our hands in exchange for us taking a few temporary salaries like Michalek and Greening, but they even gave us a 2nd rounder for our troubles.
